The City of Bacoor (also located in Cavite, about 38.2 kilometers away from Tagaytay) is known for its Marching Band Festival (Town Fiesta) which is held every second Sunday of May, in honor of its patron saint, St. Michael the Archangel. Since it is our endeavor at Casa Minerva to promote Filipino culture (and religion), we have chosen to support the Bacoor Town Fiesta this year, by placing our ad on their souvenir program.
The Karakol Festival Parade marked the first day of Bacoor's Fiesta Celebration on May 9, 2015. The participants wore colorful dresses while they danced to festive music. It was believed that they will be blessed with good health and prosperous life. At the end of the parade was a float bearing the statues of the Virgin Mary (carrying the Child Jesus) and Bacoor's patron saint, St. Michael.
